Holidays to Pollensa

Introduction

Take a step back in time on your next holiday to Majorca in the historic and picturesque town of Pollensa. Here visitors can tour the narrow, cobblestone streets, making their way past ancient buildings and inviting cafes. The strategic location of the town at the feet of the Tramuntana mountains also makes this the ideal holiday destination for Travelers who want to get outside and enjoy incredible nature and refreshing clean air.

What to see and do on a Holiday to Pollensa

Pollensa was first settled in the 14th century, and visitors today can still see remnants of the past throughout the town. The streets here are narrow, the medieval buildings are intriguing, and the attractive square features a historic church that was originally built by the Knight’s Templar. For incredible views over the old buildings and the mountain peaks beyond, head to the small Calvary chapel at the top of a hill, reached via a staircase with a challenging 365 steps (pictured below). The 14th century Puig de Maria monastery is also a fascinating historical structure, located just to the south of the town.
