Holidays to Hawaii

Introduction

When a destination receives as much hype about being a tropical island paradise as Hawaii does, you might expect that it cannot possibly live up to expectations. However, Hawaii is continuously blowing the minds of travellers who alight on the islands for its incredible natural beauty, spectacular sights and activities, and friendly locals. With eight unique islands to choose from, there is something to suit all types in Hawaii.

What to see and do on a Holiday to Hawaii

Hawaii Island, also known as ‘the Big Island’, is the largest in the archipelago, and a great place to start your holiday to Hawaii. This is where you will find the breathtaking Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you can hike through rainforests to volcanic craters, scorched plains, and intriguing lava tubes. You can also see molten lava flow into the sea from its source of Kilauea Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes on the planet. Besides incredible lava flows, the Big Island offers black sand beaches, lush jungles, and scenic golf courses.

Hawaii Holidays

Maui is another popular island with travellers for its postcard-perfect beaches and emerald green mountains. Head to Kaanapali for gorgeous sandy beaches and exciting water sports, join a tour that sets off on the seas to search for humpback whales, or enjoy a massive Hawaiian feast at a luau on the sands in Lahaina. You can even go snorkelling in the mouth of a dormant volcano at the Molokini Crater on Maui.

Surfers in the know head to Oahu for the excellent breaks and massive waves that form just off the white sand beaches of the island. The North Shore gets some of the biggest and most consistent waves in the world, so it is an interesting place to visit even for those who do not surf. Oahu is also home to Honolulu, where you will find the world famous Waikiki Beach, as well as a modern and thriving dining and nightlife scene.
